At the heart of this is our Automated Engineering, Maintenance and Robotic Repairs team who play an important part in the solution. Based on-site in Kungsängen within the Greater Stockholm region partnering with ICA they are key in maintaining an operation that delivers our partners expectations, whilst providing pivotal feedback to internal teams that enable future development of our products.
The position as Controls Technician is a hands-on role that requires excellent technical, communication and organisational skills . You will be part of a strong maintenance team and react to any breakdown of our automated machinery and conveyors as well as providing in-depth knowledge on the controls to help improve operations. You will be working closely with our centralised PLC team to provide solutions for continuous improvement
Roles and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and implement Code fixes while working closely with Ocado’s Automation Control Team
Provide front line issues investigation of live production control systems (hardware and software) including the use of relevant diagnostic tools such as Profibus / Can Bus networks and Bar Code Readers
Analyse data and find solutions to improve MHE performance and carry out planned maintenance across the site
Provide hands on support for Firmware and software upgrades on Bots and Manage PLC version control together with Ocado’s Control team
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:
Competency in English Language
It is essential to have experience with SCADA and Siemens HMI systems.
You also need to have a good technical ability and experience relating to automation hardware and software. A good understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices is required.
A good understanding of DC motor controls and Online code monitoring with Siemens S7 300/400 PLC’s and Tia-Portal
Understanding of Control System Communication Protocols such as WCS and WMS systems
Sound analytical skills, able to look at data and solve problems with full customer focus and determination to deliver results under time critical situation
Experience in a warehouse, distribution, production or FMCG environment with strong IT skills is also preffered.
Flexible working shifts
This role will require your flexibility due to us being a 24/7 operation and therefore a shift pattern will be put in place that will require working a variety of days, evenings, weekends and this pattern can include some nights. This is essential so that we can work efficiently to meet the needs of our ICA partners in Sweden but should average 40 per week.

The Engineering Team are responsible for all of the day to day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities as well as improvement works at the Customer Fulfilment Centre on MHE; such as conveyors, Electrical, Machine Network, Electromechanical, Inverters and motors, lifts, cranes, belts, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
Carrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given
Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs
Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment and Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports where necessary - PLC experience preferable but not essential .
Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard and always work to and follow all ?Health and Safety? guidance

What are we looking for from you?

A formal mechanical or electrical/engineering related qualification would be advantageous. Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability

Som Underhållstekniker, kommer du spela en viktig roll i att stödja driften av vårt toppmoderna Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC) genom att hantera tekniska fel, reaktiva och planerade underhållsaktiviteter samt proaktiva förbättringsarbeten.
Roller och ansvar kan inkludera:
Genomföra planerat underhåll över anläggningen på ett korrekt, snabbt och säkert sätt så att underhålls-procedurer efterlevs.
Uppdatera register över arbetsaktiviteter, utförda uppgifter, artiklar i lager och utförda utbildningar.
Arbeta nära leverantörer och interna avdelningar för att hitta sätt att förbättra processen och öka maskinens tillförlitlighet och prestanda.
Svara på och diagnostisera utrustnings störningar, lösa problem och åtgärds reparationer.
Utför daglig städning och rengöring av utrustning och analysera data för att hitta lösningar för att förbättra MHE-prestanda samt tillhandahålla rapporter vid behov.
Utföra kvalitetsinspektioner för att säkerställa att arbeten slutförts till en säker standard och alltid arbeta för och följa samtliga hälso- och säkerhetsstandarder.

Vad söker vi från dig?
Teknisk underhålls erfarenhet och förståelse för automatisering är att föredra, men stödjande utbildning kan ges.
En formell mekanisk eller elektrisk/tekniskt relaterad kvalifikation är fördelaktig. Påvisbar analytisk färdighet och problemlösningsförmåga.
Bra organisationsförmåga, kunna prioritera med stark kommunikation och mellanmänsklig färdighet, kunna förmedla kunskap effektivt till andra.
Denna roll involverar arbete på hög höjd med hjälp av en mängd olika säkerhetsutrustningar. Alla tekniker behöver vara bekväma med att arbeta på hög höjd.
Flexibel att arbeta skift
Denna roll kommer att kräva din flexibilitet eftersom vi är en 24/7 operation. Därför kommer ett skift mönster att införas som kommer att kräva att du arbetar en mix av dagar, kvällar, helger och även nätter. Detta är viktigt för att vi ska kunna arbeta effektivt för att tillgodose behoven hos våra ICA-partners i Sverige.
